Tourism Delegation – Paço do Marquês – building of XV Century (Republic Square)
Visit the local workmanship exhibition, exhibitions of the archaeological nucleus and famous figures. The foundation of the town, through the charter of Donna Teresa, Afonso de Castela´s daughter, dates from 1125 and precedes the foundation of the kingdom of Portugal.

The Paço dos Marqueses of Ponte de Lima (Republic Square)
Construction of 1464/1469 witch with the Castle will constitute an extraordinary work accentuating the hegemonical localization of the citadel in the town adapting it to the place´s morphology.

Matriz Church (Cardeal Saraiva Street)
The probable date of its conclusion is 1446. However it was D.João who gave consent to the construction and consigned an revenue. The church was restored and augmented by order of D. Duarte and D. AfonsoV. Inside you can admire the beautiful arch in the entrance, the beautifuk Chapel of the Bertiandos house, witch was constructed in 1540 by Inês Pinto, Lopo Pereira´s wife. You can also admire the Virgin Mary´s altar (1729) and the arch of the beatified Francisco Pacheco's chapel (1589), in Renaissance style.
